MAGAZINE WRITING
Wrote Monday magazine feature article called “The Breaking Point,” summer 2002.
This piece recounts the story of a woman whose son pricks his finger on a dirty hypodermic needle at a neighbourhood playground. The author uses the forms of personal essay and reportage to explore the hopes and fears of a mother living in a neighbourhood in transition.

RADIO PRODUCTION
Wrote and produced a 7-minute radio documentary called “The Laughter Club” for CBC Radio, fall 2002. This piece profiles a group of people in Victoria, BC, who laugh for fun and for health.
